This website is run by Catalog Educational Services Pvt. Ltd. (“CareerGuide”, “we”, “us”), 2-A/3, Kundan Mansion, Asaf Ali Rd, New Delhi, Delhi 110002. This policy explains what personal data we collect on this website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the DPDP Rules, 2025.
1. What we collect
- Contact details: name, mobile / WhatsApp number, email address.
- Education details: class or year, course or exam of interest, scores or ranks you enter, school or college, city and state.
- Assessment and course data: your answers to tests and psychometric assessments, the reports we generate, and your course progress.
- Account data: login email and profile, if you create an account.
- Payment data: when you pay, our payment partner (Razorpay) processes your card, UPI or bank details. We only receive a confirmation and basic details such as amount, method and the last 4 digits.
- Communications: messages, calls and WhatsApp chats with our team or bots.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and cookies (see section 9).
We only ask for what we need for the purposes below. Fields marked optional can be left blank.

3. Sharing with partner institutes and counsellors
CareerGuide works with partner universities, colleges, coaching institutes and independent counsellors. Only if you give consent for this (a separate tick box on our forms), we share your name, phone, email, city or state and your course or exam interest with relevant partners so they can contact you by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about admissions and courses. Some partners pay us for these introductions.

- Each partner uses your data under its own privacy policy and is responsible for it once received.
- You can withdraw this consent at any time (section 7). We will stop sharing from then on and ask partners who received your data to stop using it.
- If you do not give this consent, you still get what you asked for from CareerGuide.
4. Service providers who handle data for us
We use trusted service providers (data processors) who process data only on our instructions: website hosting (Hostinger), cloud storage (Google Cloud), CRM and messaging (GoHighLevel, WhatsApp Business), payments (Razorpay), analytics and advertising (Google, Meta). We require them to keep your data secure and use it only for our services.
We may also disclose data when required by law, a court or a government authority.
5. Children (under 18)
Under the DPDP Act, anyone under 18 is a child. Many of our users are school students.
- If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent before we process the student’s data. Our forms ask who is filling the form and, for students under 18, ask for the parent’s or guardian’s consent and ask the parent or guardian to confirm it on the form; we may verify it by contacting the mobile number given.
- We do not track or monitor children’s behaviour, and do not show them targeted advertising.
- If we learn we have a child’s data without parental consent, we will delete it.
- Parents can ask to see, correct or delete their child’s data at any time (section 7).
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiry and lead data: 3 years from your last interaction with us, then deleted. Before deleting, where the law requires it, we will tell you at least 48 hours in advance.
- Account, course and assessment data: while your account is active, and 1 year after you close it.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and company laws require (8 years).
- Security logs: at least 1 year, as the DPDP Rules require.
When you withdraw consent or ask for deletion, we delete your data (and ask our service providers to delete it) unless a law requires us to keep it.
7. Your rights
You can, free of charge:
- Access: ask for a summary of your personal data we hold and who we shared it with.
- Correct or update: fix wrong or incomplete details.
- Erase: ask us to delete your data.
- Withdraw consent: for contact by us, for partner sharing, or for marketing — as easily as you gave it. Reply STOP on WhatsApp or SMS, use the unsubscribe link in emails, or write to us.
- Nominate: name a person to exercise your rights if you die or are unable to.
- Raise a grievance: complain to our Grievance Officer (section 10).
How to ask: email [email protected] or WhatsApp +91 88004 42358, with your name and the mobile or email you used on our site so we can find your records. We reply within 15 days, and grievances are resolved within 90 days at most.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Security
We protect personal data with access controls, encryption where possible, backups, monitoring and activity logs. If a personal data breach affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires, with what happened, what it means for you, and what we are doing about it.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to make the website work, and analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta Pixel) to understand visits and measure ads. You can block or delete non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

11. Your duties
Please give correct information, do not register on behalf of someone else without their permission, and do not file false complaints. These are duties of users under the DPDP Act.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you already gave us, we will tell you and ask for consent again where required.
